Based on Ephesians 1 (emphasis Ephesians 1:13) this series discusses the dichotomoy of true and false identity. Paul says that we received a new identity in Christ when we believed. With this in mind, we discover that we are blessed, holy, adopted, and free from the bondage of sin. And yet, we constantly find ourselves living in the tug of war of the alternatives. Believing that we are cursed, beyond repair, unwanted or doomed to repeat our mistakes. Only in Christ can we find the security we need to live according to who God says we really are. We’ll be challenged to identify these falsehoods and exchange them for scriptural truths.
